Joe Tom Dial, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, died Sunday morning , December 17, in San Antonio, Texas. Born March 8, 1925 in Josserand, Texas to Eugenia and Adwin Dial, Joe married Irma Ransleben in San Antonio July 2, 1958. He was preceded in death by his wife Irma, his parents, brothers J.W. and Winston and sisters Mary Gingery and Sybil Sibley. He is survived by children Mike Dial and Janice Wilson (and husband Phillip Wilson), grandchildren Christopher Dial, Jennifer Dial Creech, Emily Brown, Erin Brown Kozuh and Lindsey Wilson (and their spouses Brittany Dial, Daniel Creech, Rudy Todorov and Karel Kozuh) and great grandchildren Radoslav and Ivana Todorov and Jamison Dial. Joe served in the United States Navy during World War II before returning home to work for Killian House Construction then Redland Worth Construction. He enjoyed raising cattle and working on his land in Floresville, Texas as well as spending time with and telling stories to his grandchildren. They will all miss their Opa dearly. Friends and family will gather to remember Joe on Thursday, Dec. 21 in the fellowship hall at Southeast Baptist Church , 2414 So. W. W. White Road, San Antonio from 10:00am to noon. At 11 a.m., those in attendance will be invited to share memories and stories. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to San Antonio Junior Livestock Show Scholarship Fund.
