Jocelyn “Jocy” Robles passed away on July 2nd, 2023 in Austin, TX at the age of 20 years old. Jocelyn was born in West Covina, California on June 25th, 2003 to Leticia Madrigal and Elias Robles. She is survived by her parents, her sister Melissa Robles, her brother Alejandro Robles, and her beloved pet cat, Grandma.
While she was born in California, she was primarily raised in San Antonio, Texas. Jocelyn attended Rudder Middle School and John Jay Science and Engineering Academy High School, from which she graduated with honors and received a full-ride scholarship to the University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing. She was looking forward to a career traveling the world as a nurse, as she was passionate about helping others and never hesitated to lend a hand. While studying to get her bachelor’s degree, she worked as a bartender in downtown Austin where she made many friends and great memories.
Jocelyn was the youngest of three. She enjoyed outdoor activities with friends and family, such as swimming, camping, and running. Jocelyn was very talented in her makeup skills and fashion taste. She was also creative, artistic and had a great eye for interior home decorating. Jocelyn was also especially passionate about animals. More specifically, she was obsessed with cats, capybaras, and monkeys. She loved going to animal shelters and aquariums/zoos in her free time. She was so naturally gorgeous and had such a beautiful smile and a goofy, yet contagiously sweet, personality that her family and friends will miss very much.
