Joan Ottavio

Joan Ottavio, 77, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2018. She was born in New York on July 28, 1940 to Alfred and Jeanette Ottavio. She worked for over 40 years at the Baptist Memorial Hospital as a nurse, and for 22 years, she was a partner with Alamo City Party Rentals, inc. She is preceded in death by her parents; and her brother: Vincent Ottavio. She is survived by her life partner, best friend and companion of 41 years: Imelda Mimiaga; sister: Janet Kuhner and husband Tommy of Babylon, New York; sister: Patrice Muchow of Coral Springs, Florida; sister: Denise Ottavio of Riverside, New York; Nephew: Peter Ottavio and wife Donna, and Great Nephew Thomas of Sayville, New York; Niece Debra Ottavio and Great Niece Breanna Kuhner of Babylon, New York and many, many fur babies.

Visitation will begin at10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 5, 2018 at Roy Akers Funeral Home 515 N. Main Ave, with the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m., with a reception to follow at Roy Akers.
