Jimmy Leon Kelly, 49, of San Antonio, TX passed away, unexpectedly, on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at North Central Baptist Hospital. Survived by his loving wife Michele and three amazing children Braden, Camryn and Peyton Kelly.
Jim was born on January 20, 1975 in Shreveport, Louisiana and was raised by parents Danny Kelly and Shirley Caplis along with his younger brother Randy. He attended Lakota High School in West Chester, Ohio and attended Tulane University. Jim moved to San Antonio to work for Fritch USA, then, together with his father and brother, established EPCO in 2000.
Jim was a great father, who worked tirelessly to build a home and environment that was safe and loving for his family. He was deeply proud and supportive of his children.
Outside of work and family, Jim was a passionate hobbyist and frequented many breweries and wineries while RVing. Jim was known for being outspoken and passionate about grilling. Jim’s favorite thing to do was preparing Insta Pot meals and he will perhaps be remembered most for his creativity in the kitchen.
Jim had a wonderful knack for solving problems, offering advice, and keeping in touch with family from Texas to Iowa and his guidance will be missed by many.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, August 10,2024 from 4:30-7:30 at The Kelly Residence Backyard. Please wear heat appropriate attire in Black, White or even in Jim’s favorite color Orange.
