Jesus "Chuy" O. Zavala was promoted to heaven on October 18, 2020. He was born on September 27, 1929 in San Antonio, TX. He was a devout member and Eucharistic Minister for 38 years at St. Agnes Catholic Church. He had a wonderful sense of humor, a beautiful infectious smile, with tremendous work ethic. He was a man of strong faith, an avid sportsman, and loved to play poker at family gatherings.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Luisa Zavala; also, 3 sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Julia Amador Zavala; children, Idalia Aguayo (Manuel), Dr. Jesus Zavala (Helen), Dr. Ramon Zavala (Juanita A.), Manuel Zavala (Betty), Teresa Tyler (Mike), David Zavala (Juanita E. ), Rolando Zavala and Adan Zavala; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be remembered by his 2 sisters, nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends. The Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, October 22, 2020 at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino, 226 Cupples Rd. with a Eulogy Service at 6:30p.m and a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. The Procession will depart from the funeral home on Friday, October 23, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 804 Ruiz St., San Antonio, TX. Entombment will follow in San Fernando Cemetery and Mausoleum II.

Due to the Covid-19 declaration by the City, County and State Officials the Visitation will be limited to 25 guests.
Facial coverings will be required at all times while in the building.
