Jesus Lucio Jr., a devoted family man, community leader, and faithful servant of God, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on May 24, 1945, in San Antonio, Texas, to Jesus Lucio Sr. and Juanita Villanueva, Jesus lived a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to those around him.
A beloved deacon for many years at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church, Jesus's faith guided him in all that he did. Whether serving at the altar, mentoring youth as a Scout Leader, or rallying behind local students with the Authentic Booster Club, his heart was always with his community.
Jesus had a passion for travel and adventure—especially enjoying trips to Las Vegas and cruising to Alaska. He found joy in music, particularly the oldies, and never missed a chance to dance with the love of his life, his late wife, Mary Lucio. Their love story was a beautiful one, filled with laughter, rhythm, and shared moments that continue to echo in the hearts of all who knew them.
Above all, Jesus cherished his family. He is now joyfully reunited in Heaven with his beloved Mary, his brother Tony, and his dear parents. He leaves behind a legacy of love in his children: Jesse Lucio (Blanca), David Lucio, and Valeria L. Wilford; grandchildren: Jesse, Kristen, Kimberly, and Greg; and great-grandchildren: Arian, Jesse, Zeke, Matthew, Beautiful Harlow, and Silas.
Jesus Lucio Jr.’s life was a testament to kindness, faith, and family. His memory will continue to inspire and comfort those who were blessed to know him. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
