Jesse P. Ovalle

Jesse P. Ovalle entered eternal rest on May 6, 2014 at the age of 87. He was born to Viviano and Paula Ovalle in Robstown, Texas, on August 1, 1926 and is preceded in death by his parents, wife; Amparo Gongora, 1 brother and 6 sisters. He is survived by his daughters; Lydia Mendoza (Daniel), Jessica Frausto (Jose), grandchildren: April, Veronica, Erica, Daniel II (Mendoza), Jennifer, Jesse, Julie (Morales), great-grandchildren: Adam, Autumn Rae, Danica Nevae, Ayden Julian, Madizon Marie, Jazlynn Sofia, Olivia Faith, Jayden, Janessa, Mia Alexandria, 3 sisters: Fannie Villarreal, Antonia Estrada, Janie Gonzalez, 3 step-brothers: Jesse Cerna (Eva), Robert Cruz (Mary Esther), Gilbert Cruz (Veronica), and numerous nieces and nephews. Jesse worked at H.B. Zachary for over 25 faithful years and was a member of Pan American Golf Association, Sociadad Cruz Blanca, Union Fraternal Latino Americana, Sociadad Mexicana Cuauhtémoc, and lifelong member of American Legion Post 0002. The family will be receiving guests at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. to celebrate a 10:30 a.m. Mass at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church (1710 Clowers) with interment to follow in San Fernando Cemetery III.
