of 71 after a valiant battle with Parkinson’s and Frontotemporal
Dementia. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia on December 29, 1946. He
is preceded in death by Joseph and Opal Sarro. He is survived by his
wife of 45 years, Shirley Sarro; children: Alison (Greg)Tatsch, Jason
(Kimberly)Sarro, Jared Sarro, Shelley (Dylan)McClendon; grandchildren:
Brooke, Alyssa, Connor, Macy, Gavin, Clayton; siblings: Cindy
(Grant)Carpenter, Joseph Sarro, Timothy Sarro; in laws: Ernie
(Jennifer)De Winne, Wayne (Donna)De Winne, Diane (George)White,
Rebecca (Mark)Savage, nieces and nephews. Jerry faithfully served his
country in The United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam conflict.
He was an electrician for over 40 years and enjoyed golfing, fishing and
drinking a cold one on the beach. He cherished spending time with his
children and grandchildren, especially watching their sporting events.
The family will receive guests at the funeral home on Saturday,
December 15, 2018 from 2:00p.m. to 5:00p.m. with a Celebration of his
