Jerry Joseph Martinez

In this holy Christmas season, the Lord has called another of his children home. Jerry Joseph Martinez, age 45, was called on December 05, 2014 after a long illness. Jerry was born on December 31, 1968 in La Mesa, CA. He was salutatorian of his high school graduating class and is a graduate of Texas A& M University in Galveston and Oregon State University with a degree in Marine Biology. Jerry had a wonderful sense of humor, and a deep love and respect for all living things. He is survived by his parents John Henry & Rose Marie Martinez, his sister Cynthia Joy Martinez, nephew Jeffrey Douglas Martinez, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. His loving grandparents Emmett and Mary Jaime preceded him in death and were there to welcome Jerry home. A Memorial Service is scheduled to take place at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino, 2525 Palo Alto Rd. on Friday, January 09, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Talk Service to begin at 6:00 p.m. that same evening.
