Jerry Ray Finnigan

Jerry Ray Finnigan, born April 6, 1939 to Albert and Bessie Finnigan, entered rest on Friday, August 31, 2012 at the age of 73. Jerry was employed by the San Antonio Express-News for 38 years, working his way up to afternoon Circulation Director. He was a farmer and loved working the land with his tractor. He was also a talented craftsman. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Reginald and Jack; and sisters, Edna, Katherine and Wynonia. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Madeline N. Finnigan; son, Jerry Ray Finnigan, Jr. and wife Laurie; son, Wayne Robert Finnigan and wife Dorothy; daughter, Tabitha Lin Ayers; daughter, Taya Lin Klesel and husband Wendell; grandchildren, Ralph, Taylor, Meaghan, Tanner, Marnie, Reece, Mary, Libby, Jamie and Nina; great-grandchildren, Kaden and A’aliyah; brother, Danny Finnigan and sister, Billie Turnell. Visitation will be held on Wednesday September 5, 2012, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, TX 78218. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at 3:00pm at Sunset Funeral Chapel.
