Jeffrey Lee Pyle passed away at the age of 50. Born on September 8th, 1965 in San Antonio to J. Frank Pyle and Jearldene Pyle, he was the youngest of 3 sons. Jeffrey was born with significant hearing loss but lived a very productive life in spite of his handicap, earning a B.S. in Biology from UTSA and a Masters in Hospital Administration from Texas State. His career was focused in the non-profit sector, providing accounting support and outreach for The Red Cross, Operation Homefront, Soldiers Angels, and most recently the Alamo Area Council of Governments, but he could also be found providing tutoring services, substitute teaching, and test proctoring over his career. Jeffrey also volunteered his talents and services for many organizations, especially his church. Jeffrey’s main focus in life beyond his work was the study of God’s word and history, through which he accumulated an extensive library of texts and unique knowledge. His desire and joy was always to share his learning and insights to those he knew and loved.
Jeffrey is preceded in death by his parents and survived by step mother Mitzie Pyle, brother John Pyle, brother Alan Pyle and wife Allison, sister in law Barbara Fitch Pyle, nephews and nieces Nadine, Hayden, Zachary, Kara, and Risa, as well as numerous cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Communion Chapel, 5719 Mobud St., San Antonio, Texas, on November 21st at 2pm with reception to follow. A private entombment will take place at a later date at Sunset Mausoleum 5000.
Jeffrey was an advocate for those that had needs beyond their capability. He was also a strong advocate of sanctity life. These two options are offered in memory of his passions.
