Jean Vordenbaum

Jean Vordenbaum, born July 25, 1933 in San Augustine, Texas, passed away on December 9, 2017 at the age of 84. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd Clifton and Rena Belle Whitehead. Jean is survived by her daughters, Robin Patterson and Vicki Vordenbaum Scimeca; brother, Harold Dane Whitehead (Dolores); grandchildren, Jordan Webber, Lindsey Lopez (Saul), Lisa Scimeca, Matthew Scimeca, Mark Scimeca, Michael Scimeca; great grandchildren, Giovanni, Jase, Bayne, and Jerimiah; close friend, Christine Snell and numerous nieces and nephews. Jean attended San Augustine High School and was in the pep squad, basketball team, secretary of the Press Club and a cheerleader as well. In 1949 she was elected assistant society editor of the Heart’s Delight. Jean’s hobbies included reading and dancing. She was a long time member of Bandera Road Community Church in San Antonio. Visitation will be held at Sunset Funeral Home on Thursday, December 14, 2017 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Funeral services will be on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel.
