Jaxon Reese Davis earned his angel wings on November 25, 2012 after a tough battle with cancer. While the disease may have overcome his body here on earth, his soul is enjoying the ultimate triumph in God's Kingdom, where right now he is running around playing, singing, and laughing in total healing.
Jaxon lived vivaciously and touched a lot of lives during his five years. At a young age, God had already filled his heart with the spirit of giving, and his parents found themselves facing the dilemma of having to hide some of his things since he was likely to generously give them away. He rarely complained about his own situation and preferred instead to focus on others and "pay it forward." Jaxon had thousands of people follow his journey on facebook, and the kindness of his heart became contagious.
Jaxon's favorite color was yellow, bright like the sun and warm like his smile. Nothing made Jaxon smile more than doing good deeds for others. Jaxon didn't sit around waiting to see what faith looked like, but lived it to the fullest every day. This summer Jaxon accepted Christ as his Savior and asked to be baptized in September. Like the tomatoes he planted in the backyard last month, he was always allowing God to use him to plant seeds that are still growing in people's lives and will be making a difference for a long time to come.
Jaxon is survived by his parents, Lenzie and Cory Davis; by his younger sister, Hallee; by his grandparents, Roy and Suzanne Oliver, and Gordon and Cathy Davis; and by his aunts and uncles, Jamie, Kelly, Aaron, Jon, and Jose.
