There are many things I wish I could have told her, but there's no taking it back now. She protected and loved me when I needed it most, and I'm forever thankful. I remember she would call me "Beautiful" and "Kind" even when I was a mess. I love her to bits, but my only regret was not telling her this in person. I know that she'll continue to protect us, even in death.

I don’t even know where to begin. My parents were extremely close to my aunt Janie and my tio Meño… I am at a loss for words for the loss of my aunt Janie...i remember being kids and going over to their house to visit since they lived by Pittman Sullivan park. Then when they moved out to the ranch and would visit my parents and she would always ask for coffee. There are so many memories that I could fill this page up and then some!!! My deepest condolences to Janie's entire family.  

I met her and her late husband some years ago through her daughter Veronica.  She would call me "Chaparra" and would tell me to stop loosing weight :)  I enjoyed her conversations while sitting outside in the back porch.  I will always remember her as the amazing wife, mother and grandmother she was.  She will forever be missed.

I don't know where to begin and end because I have so many memories with her. I'll always remember how she let me have just a little bit of coffee with her when we'd eat pan dulce when I was a kid and to me it was like getting away with something taboo because coffee was a grown up drink.  I loved going to the salon and seeing her work and being around all her coworkers. And I'll always love and miss her random goofy made up on the spot songs that she'd even rhyme. She always loved to sing and dance. Or all the times I'd drive her around and we'd curse out bad drivers on the road in a joking way and how we'd just carry on enjoying our day out together. I'll miss laying in bed with her watching novelas or playing her games on her phone and I'd go and smother her in kisses and she'd tell me 'Ya you're messing up my record time on my game'  or she'd tell me 'Ya, que tanto besos if you keep kissing me more I won't be able to give you anymore kisses today.'

I remember always being at Tia Jaines, when I was little. She made blue jeans and a t shirt look glamorous. I used to spend so much time admiring her Barbies and watching The little mermaid at her house. She loved to take care of her plants , she had black berries, Pomegranates, a the sweetest honeysuckle flowers. I will miss your hugs and kisses. I will love you always. 

Remember visiting with family many years ago! I pray you now Rest In Peace, Gods blessings to the family. May you all find peace and comfort. 

My aunt Janie was always so loving to me and my family especially my girls.  The best memories I have was when I was a kid, i would spend so much time at their house that  she became a second mom to me.  I also admire the strength she had, no matter how sick or how much pain she had she still managed to crack a joke and gave my girls words of advice, encouragement and love.  We will forever miss you tia Janie and will miss seeing you there next to my mom making her laugh.  You kept her going.  

She always warmed my heart with the way she greeted me by saying “Hi beautiful” or “Mija you are so gorgeous”. It never failed and I loved it so much, I will miss it dearly along with the countless times she reminded me to never let someone stop me from being great and finishing school. She will forever be missed and loved!  

She was a really sweet person she treat me like another daughter and I love her with all my heart rest in peace I love you mom

My condolences to the family and friends 

The one thing that I remember the most about my mother-in-law is the way she hated me being in her kitchen the best thing by far is when she told me she didn’t have to worry about cooking anymore.

She is survived by her daughters Veronica Ayala (Albert Talamantez) and Graciela Flores; grandchildren, Krista Ayala, Christian Ayala and Kyra Elizabeth Barstad; siblings, Artemio Gonzalez(Guadalupe Gonzalez), Ramon Gonzalez(Angelica Gonzalez), Francisco Gonzalez(Monica Gonzalez), Celia Aleman, and Carolina Cardenas. She was loved by numerous nieces and nephews.






She was preceded in death by her husband Manuel Flores; Brother, Lupe Gonzalez, and Sister, Maria Villanueva.
