Jane Marlis Howard

Jane Marlis Howard passed away peacefully on March 29, 2017 at the age of 91. She was born in Winters, Texas on August 18, 1925 to Connie and Crocket Hodges. She was a long time resident of San Antonio, but spent her later years in Ft Worth, TX. She was a college graduate with a degree in English from Abilene Christian University. She was married for 49 years to Joe R Howard, who preceded her in death in 1996. She was a champion bridge player earning Master Champion Points. She loved to travel, make quilts and spend time with her grandkids. She was a long time member of McArthur Church of Christ.

She is survived by her daughters, Anne Napps of Ft Worth, TX and Jan Tomlinson of San Antonio, TX, her four grandchildren, Amy Dresch of San Antonio, TX, Amanda Tong of San Antonio, TX, Dana Cash of Ft. Worth, TX and Kelley Foster of Ft. Worth, TX, and six great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 12 at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 13 at Ft Sam National Cemetery at 10:00 am.
