James Dermont Williamson, Jr. (60) passed away peacefully in the arms of Jesus while surrounded by his loving family on January 22, 2017. He was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
“Jim” was born on July 10, 1956 in Mobile, AL and moved to Texas in 1966. He was a graduate of Marshall High School and later attended SAC and the University of Texas. He met his true love, Carolyn, in 1976 and they married in 1978. His construction career spanned 30 years, serving as head project estimator at Traugott, Inc. for the last 21 years. His hobbies included fishing, weightlifting, barbequing, and cooking his famous lasagna. He cherished time with his family and was a selfless man who put other's needs before his.
Jim is survived by his wife of 38 years, Carolyn; son James Dermont Williamson III and wife Melissa, daughter Marilyn Wright and husband Matt; grandchildren Emilia and Logan Williamson and Faith Wright; sister Karen Dorner and husband Steve; mother-in-law Mary Dickson; sister-in-law Jean Chincarini and husband Armando; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Dermont Williamson, Sr.
The family would like to thank Mike Traugott and everyone at Traugott Inc. and South Texas Drywall for their love, prayers, kindness, generosity, and most of all, friendship. The family thanks everyone who prayed for Jim.
