James Smith passes way at the age of 78. He was born on the East side of San Antonio, TX on February 23,1944 to Margret and Elmer. He worked for SAISD for 40 years as a teacher with a focus in Special Education. Smith was a lifelong member of the NAACP and PTA.
Smith had a passion for reading and volunteering within the schools and with different city organizations like Meal On Wheels. Smith was also a “foodie”.
He is preceded in death by his mother Margaret and father Elmer and sister and brother. Smith is survived by his family Victor and Susie and their children Rocky, Izabel, Victor Jr and Zeliah Torres including extended Torres and Chavarria family.
A visitation for James will be held Monday, November 28, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, Texas 78211, followed by a funeral service at 7:00 PM.
