James Kye Sherrod Sr.

James Kye Sherrod III was born on November 29, 1942 in San Antonio, Texas and went to be with the Lord on August 12, 2014. Proceeded in death by his beloved Mother and Father, James Kye Sherrod II and Jeanette Marie Lesniak.

James is survived by two siblings, Nonnie Sherrod & Bonnie Sherrod, his four children and loved ones; James and Geraldine Sherrod, Diane and Nick Hernandez, Lisa and Rodney Rael, & Steve and Cindy Sherrod. Also surviving are his eleven grandchildren: Nicollette, Kye, Justin, Anthony, Aryana, Christopher, Madelyn, Sabrina, Alexia, Jake and Morgan. He is also survived by two great grandchildren: Matthew and Justin. Many loved ones, relatives and friends, also survive James.

James served his country as a member of the United States Marine Core, after serving in the military James transitioned to serving his family. He was a devoted Father and Grandfather with a giving heart & caring spirit who dedicated his life to family.

Visitation will begin Sunday, August 17, 2014 at 5:00pm followed by the Rosary at 7:00pm at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on August 18, 2014 at 12:00pm in the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with the committal service to follow in Sunset Memorial Park..
