Not much is known about Jim's childhood, He was a military brat and from stories told, he was also a spoiled brat. Jim left this world broke, heartbroke and hard broke. He didn't have much in the way of worldly possessions, but he did more than his share of hard living in his 63 years. He had been incarcerated was at times inebriated and will in the end be incinerated.
That said, he was a good friend to some and would do anything in the world for them. Though a little skinny feller, he was at times a big fat storyteller. the fish he would catch actually gained weight year after year.
In the last few months, Jim was hellbent on reaching heaven. he re-embraced his Catholic faith. He didn't drive and walking was tough for him, but he would attend Mass as often as he could along with the friends he encouraged to join him. He found great comfort in bringing friends to God's light and would leave mass with a spring in his step and joy inside his heart.
Jim is survived by a brother and sister and a close knit group of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and the love of his life, JoAnn Martinez.
