James E. Rabenaldt

James E. Rabenaldt passed away on December 23, 2015 at the age of 84. He was born on March 26, 1931 in Yorktown, Texas to parents Fritz and Elenora Rabenaldt. James attended school at Yorktown Schools where he completed school through the 8th grade. He had to quit school to help tend to the farm while his older brothers were off to war. James was a member of the Hermann Sons for more than 50 years. He retired from Ceco Steel Inc. in 1993 after 33 years of service. He was known by all as a gentle giant with strong hands. He was a Boy Scout leader for many years. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, and his twin daughter, Joan. He is survived by children Debbie and Doug Harms, Bettie and Hendrix Rowell, Judy Kutz, Nancy Rabenaldt, and Mike and Tamie Rabenaldt, Grandchildren; Jennifer Hudson, David and Karla Harms, Dana and Rich Efthim, Ashley Koepke, Brady and Leah Keene; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive family and friends from 5:00 to 9:00pm on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home at 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, Texas. Services will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at 12:00pm at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home. Burial at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Yorktown, Texas at 3:00pm.
