James E. Medina

James Ernest Medina, 53, passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2013. He was born in San Antonio on July 28, 1959. He is survived by his daughter, Maria Medina; mother, Gloria Salas Jennings and husband William; father, Juan Medina and wife Mary Helen; twin brother, John A. Medina and wife Karen; niece, Madison Medina and a host of extended family and friends. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, February 1, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Anthony Claret Catholic Church, 6150 Roft Rd. with reception to follow at Hubertus Hall. The interment will be held at a later date. The family requests that no flowers be sent but contributions be made instead to the American Diabetes Association or to the American Kidney Foundation. James was an inspiration to those who saw him struggle with a multitude of medical challenges, and was a testament to the power of prayer in dealing with adversities. He lived each day with spirit and an openness to life’s gifts. He will be missed.
