SMSGT James A. Carpentier, U.S. Air Force (ret.), went to be with the Lord on July 1, 2012. He was born in Troy, New York on January 15, 1937. He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 55 years, Mary Lou. His military career and civil service commitments gave his family the opportunity to enjoy various States and Countries. It was during his basic training at Lackland AFB, he fell in love with San Antonio and ultimately got to call it home. He instilled determination and humor in his six children: James (Kim) Carpentier, Debby (James) Standish, Pam Pruneda, Lisa (Charlie) Beam, Mary Lou Huntsinger, and Chris (Misty) Carpentier. He also enjoyed growing young again with his 17 grandchildren.
The Graveside Service will be Thursday, July 12, 10:00 am at Ft. Sam National Cemetery with Full Air Force Honors.
Flowers are welcomed as well as contributions can be made to Helping Hands or Arthur Nagel Community Clinic, both in Bandera, Texas.
