The viewing will be Wed 1/27, 5-7 PM, funeral services will be Thurs 1/28 at 12 noon, both at Sunset Memorial Park 1701 Austin Hwy, San Antonio TX 78218.
James was preceded in death by parents Sara Helen and E.L. “Red” Allison, and sister Lona McInnis all of Castroville. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Natalie Haak Allison, and by his son and daughters; James Allison Jr and wife Amy of San Antonio, Holly Denton and husband Jarrett of Castroville, and Karen Wood of Orangevale CA, 5 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
James was born in Kilmichael MS. After attending Harlandale HS in San Antonio, he proudly served the Navy; he often spoke of his role as Radarman in CIC, and the adventure of the Pacific Ocean. After leaving the Navy, he enjoyed a career in marketing, working for two major companies. After retiring he enjoyed researching our family tree and organizing reunions. He was a dedicated to his family. We will miss him.
