Irene Guerra Rodriguez born on October 19, 1936 went to be with the Lord on February 27, 2017. She is preceded in death by her parents Salomon and Angelica Guerra and her beloved husband Vidal Rodriguez. She is survived by her children; Vidal Rodriguez Jr. and Michelle Torrez (Antonio). Also survived by her grandchildren; Toni Michelle, Jasmine, Lisette and Vidalia; Great grandchild Axel; Siblings, Esther, Mary and Victor. The family would like to send a special thank you to the Gentiva Hospice Facility. Irene was very family oriented and loved to cook. She also enjoyed crafts and puzzles. She will truly be missed by family and friends. A visitation will begin on Thursday March 2, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. at Roy Akers funeral home on 515 N. Main St. with a rosary to be recited at 7: 00p.m. A funeral procession will depart on Friday March 3, 2017 at 9:30 am for a 10:00 am mass at St James Catholic Church from Roy Akers. An interment will follow at San Fernando II Cemetery.
