Ila Marie Hoover

Ila Marie Belk Hoover, age 83, went to be with the Lord on January 24, 2011. She was born on March 12, 1927 in Robstown, TX. She graduated from Santa Rosa Nursing School and was a RN in San Antonio before she met her husband Dan. She had a strong faith and instilled this in all of her 5 children. She enjoyed arts & crafts of every kind. She was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church. Marie was a loving mother, grandmother & wife.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Dan B. Hoover.

Marie is survived by her children, Gary Hoover & wife Joy of San Antonio, Tim Hoover & wife Becky of Hagerstown, MD, Cindy Meredith & husband Jackie of Belton, TX, Don Hoover & wife Aaron Hoover of Wylie, TX and Carol Johnson & husband Ken of Sevierville, TX; 11 grandchildren; and numerous other loving family members.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be 3 p.m., Friday, January 28, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.

The family would like to express their “special thanks” to the Odyssey House staff, for the loving care they provided for the past two weeks.
