Helen was devoted follower of Christ and a member of First Baptist Church San Antonio. She was also an avid reader and writer, and her writing skills would eventually lead her to the love of her life Milton C. Wiemers, as she became part of a group that wrote newsletters for Texas service men who were overseas fighting in WWII. As the two exchanged letters back and forth, love blossomed, and once Milton returned from the war, they were married and eventually moved to San Antonio where they raised two children. In addition to being a wife and mom, Helen enjoyed being Gran to two grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She also built a lengthy career as an executive secretary for various corporations.
Helen is survived by her daughter Karen Faseler, her granddaughters Dawn Jones and Katie Forbis (Husband Jason), great grandchildren Christian Forbis, Robert Forbis, Bekah Forbis, Tyler Jones (Wife Yasmin), Seth Jones, Sawyer Jones, and Sierra Jones. Helen also leaves behind many close friends.
Helen is preceded in death by parents Charles and Angie Bremer, husband Milton C. Wiemers, son Bruce Wiemers, and six sisters.
