Hector M. Velez Colon

Our beloved, Hector Manuel Velez Colon, entered rest on February 27, 2015 at the age of 86. He was born to Genaro and Paula Colon in Caguas, Puerto Rico on February 11, 1929. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his longtime partner, Carmen Rosas and her son Javier Rosas; children: Delia Colon (Armando Chong), Daniel Colon, Sr. (Maria); grandchildren: Anthony Michael Castillo, Jr., Daniel Colon, Jr., Jessica Renee, Colon, Amanda Nicole Luna, Christopher Anthony Colon, Selena Celeste Colon, Sabrina Chelsea Colon, Alyssa LeeAnn Luna; great-grandchildren; Gabriel Anthony Castillo, Landyn Daniel Colon, Aniyah Guadalupe Castillo, Reiss William Colon; sister, Celia Colon and other family. The family will receive friends at 5:00 p.m., Monday, March 9, 2015 at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers for a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 12:00 Noon, Tuesday, March 10, 2015 to celebrate a 12:30 p.m. Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
