Hector R. Perez, loving husband, father, and grandfather entered into eternal rest on January 27, 2012 at the age of 64. Hector was born on January 28, 1947 in San Antonio, TX to Raul and Elisa Perez. He honorably served in the United States Marine Corp and is a Vietnam Veteran. He also served 12 years with the Texas State Guard and retired as a Colonel. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Elaine Perez; daughters, Katherine Perez, Jennifer Perez (Crystal Herrera), and Elisa Sandoval (Johnhenry Sandoval); and grandchildren, Madison Perez and Johnhenry Sandoval II. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 5, 2012 at Sunset North Funeral Home and a Rosary will be recited that same evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Graveside service will be at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, February 6, 2012 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with military honors.
