Muriel Gwendolyn Murrell Redding (Gwen) died April 21, 2021 in San Antonio, Texas a few days after her much celebrated 100th birthday.
Gwen was born April 4, 1921 in Greenville, Mississippi to L.C. and Evelyn Murrell. She married Edwin Redding. Gwen was an active member of her church and community. Her passions included pottery, gardening, playing the piano for others, and cheering on the Spurs.
She is survived by her four children and their spouses: Blake, Steve (and Kristi), Betsy (and Allan) and Pete, plus six grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Caring Solutions, The Waterford on Huebner, and Northminster Presbyterian Church for providing loving support in her later years.
Instead of floral or other remembrances, the family suggests donating to local charities who will carry on the tradition of love and community. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date
