Mrs. Ramirez born in Cameron, Texas on 12-12-1923 was preceded in death by husband Pantaleon, a WWII veteran, son Daniel P. Ramirez and daughter Dora Deleon. She was a devoted mother & grandmother who raised her children as a single parent since 1960.
Survivors include son, Ezequiel P. Ramirez Sylvia; daughters Elizabeth Salazar Juan, Guadalupe Leal Daniel, Graciela Ramirez Kunzler; sisters Margarita Pena and Lydia Salazar; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Between 1946 to 1950, Mrs. Ramirez enjoyed a career singing live on local radio stations accompanied by her close friend and singing partner Maria Sophia Hernandez.
She was known for her authentic hand made tamales, which was a holiday tradition in her active days. During her last years Mrs. Ramirez enjoyed the company of her faithful companion Roary.
She was loved by all those whom she touched including several grandchildren whom she helped raise. Her family will miss her.
