Mr. Guadalupe V. Martinez, born October 12, 1930 in Bridgeport, Texas to Simon & Juliana Castillo, and raised by Jose & Tomasa Martinez in Asherton, Texas went to be with our Lord on July 23, 2019 at the age of 88.
He is preceded in death by his son, John Henry Martinez and his numerous siblings. He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Juanita Martinez; children, Hilda Graham, Cynthia Lorbieski (Donn), and Michael Martinez; granddaughters, Carolyn Martinez, Roslyn Kosacz (Chad), Heather Terell, and Rebekah Morales (Felix) and his great grandchildren, Noah, Seth, Felix IV, Brandon and Danielle.
A Visitation will begin on Sunday, July 28, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Monday, July 29, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Helena’s Catholic Church followed by a reception brunch at the Martinez Family residence. Interment will be at First Memorial Park Cemetery at 1:45 p.m.
