Guadalupe “Lupita” Cortez left this life in the presence of her family at 5:22 am March 11, 2011. She is survived by her husband Richard Cortez, who was fervently devoted to her until the very end; three beautiful children, Rick Cortez, Mayra Cerda and Ruby Conway; and 12 wonderful grandchildren. She was a faithful and loving wife for 51 years and selflessly gave herself in the raising of her three children. We are very grateful to the Lord for the wonderful memories and we will cherish the precious years spent together. The visitation will be held Monday, March 14, 2011, from 5:00 to 9:00 pm, and a funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home Chapel. Interment is Tuesday, March 22, 2011, 10:30 am at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
