Gracie G. Huron

Gracie Graciano Huron, our beloved mother went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 4, 2025, at the age of 68. Gracie worked at Laurel Heights Weekday School for 40 years and retired in 2018. Throughout the 40 years at LHWDS she enjoyed working with all the children, their families, and watching them grow into young adults, as some would return with their own children and request our mom to be their child's Toddler Teacher. Gracie also served the Laurel Heights United Methodist community in various ways. She was dedicated to being the Parents Night Out Director every Friday night, and the Nursery Director every Sunday morning. She will forever be a Laurel Heights Lamb. Gracie was a college graduate of San Antonio College and earned her Associates of Applied Science in Early Childhood Studies. Gracie raised her two children to be hard workers, independent and to never give up, and to always reach for the stars. Mom, you will truly be missed. Gracie is preceded in death by her parents, Jose Henry (Sr) and Concha Graciano; and brother, Jose Henry Graciano Jr. She is survived by her children, Katina Huron Chaffin (John Roy), and Christopher Huron; grandchildren, Ashley (Jeremy), Zachary, Luke Henry, Nathaniel; and great grandchild, Tyler; sister, Connie; her brothers Mateo (Sandra), Gene (Cindi); and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive guests from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2025, at Porter Loring Mortuary, 1101 McCullough Ave, San Antonio, Texas 78212. A Rosary will follow at 7:00 p.m. Memorial Service Saturday, April 26, 2025, 10:00 a.m., at Laurel Heights United Methodist Church, Inurnment to follow.
