Grace Eleanor Deutsch Toland of San Antonio, formerly of Chicago, went to our Lord on July 16, 2014. Grace was born to John Francis and Helen Mercedes Boyle Deutsch in 1926. She was the youngest child and was affectionately known as Dolly to her siblings Gene, Mike, Ed, Joe, Johnny, Cyril, and Helen. She graduated from Loretta High School in Chicago. She attended nursing school and was a licensed pharmacist. While serving in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict she met and married Clyde Thomas Toland. After retiring in San Antonio she was active at St. Thomas More and St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Churches.
Grace was predeceased by her parents, siblings, and husband. She is survived by her daughters, Helen (Fred/Scooter) Perrenot, Mary (Harry) Chaffee, Cathy (Ron) Bridge, and Ann Toland, her grandchildren, Tim (Katie) Bridge, Katie (Eric) Almogabar, Gwen Perrenot, Joseph Chaffee, Ryan Bridge, Sarah Chaffee, and Tyler Bridge, and her great-grandchildren Andrew and Nathan Almogabar, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
The visitation will be held Wednesday, July 30, 2014 beginning at 6:00 P.M. with the Rosary scheduled at 7:00 P.M. The Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 9:30 A.M. at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church, 1602 Thousand Oaks Dr. The interment will follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
