Bud was born October 13, 1939, in Escanaba, MI. He honorably dedicated 23 years of his life to the U.S. Army as a 101st Airborne Paratrooper, Deep Sea Diver, Radio Technician, Military Police, Chaplain’s Assistant, and contributed imperative research for the Smithsonian Institute. He ventured into a variety of professions following his military retirement, and selflessly volunteered weekly at SAMMC until his final days. Bud enjoyed life and exuded love for his family and friends.
Bud is preceded in death by his father Gordon McLeod, mother Patricia McCormick, step-father William Badini, first wife Jeannine McLeod, and son Michael McLeod.
Bud is survived by his wife Gladys McLeod, brother, Bill Badini, sister, Beverly Blake, daughter Jodi McLeod Ewing, daughter-in-law Sandra McLeod, son-in-law Doug Ewing, 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, family, friends, and best buddy, Sir Winston.
Services will be held at Sunset Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, San Antonio, on October 25, 2017 at 11:45am, military honors at Fort Sam Houston Cemetery promptly at 1:15pm, reception to follow.
