Gloria Garcia Martinez

Gloria Garcia Martinez gained her angel wings on June 12, 2012 at the age of 62. She was born January 6, 1959 in Dilley, Texas and lived in several states before the family settled in San Antonio, Texas.

Gloria loved spending time with her family and friends. She also loved the family trips to Louisiana and playing the lotto. Gloria worked over 20 years for USAA, became a CNA and worked at Davila Pharmacy before she left to care for her parents. She was diagnosed with Colon Cancer and battled with it for the last 5 years of her life. Gloria was a strong woman, never showed her pain and always had a smile on her face. She was our Wonder Woman.

Gloria is survived by her daughters: Sophia Martinez (Louie) and Tina Martinez; Grandchildren: Aiden James, Megan, David and Celeste; Great Grand Child: David; Siblings: Adam Garcia (Penny), James Garcia and Patricia Garcia; Nephews: Christopher and Texas; Nieces: Gabriella and Natalie.

She will be missed, but we can only imagine the reunion with those preceded by her in death including her parents: MSGT Rodolfo Garcia, USAF Ret. and Rosa F. Garcia, and numerous family members. Fly high with angels Wonder Woman…
