CMSgt. Glen R. Harris USAF Retired

CMSgt. Glen R. Harris, USAF Retired, age 77, passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2014. Born May 13, 1937 in Hulbert, OK to Paul and Beulah Norwood Harris, he was a proud member of the United States Air Force and retired in 1982 and was also Past Commander of the Schertz V.F.W. Post 8315.

Mr. Harris is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Beverly Jean Hoffman and her daughter, Emmy; brother, Hubert Arthur Harris; step-mother, Tommie Harris. He is survived by his wife, Elayne Harris; children, Glen R. Harris II and wife Lucy, Alan Randall Nalder and wife Susie, Jo-Ellen Lawhon and husband Larry, Linda Schuchert and husband Scott, Sharon Jones and husband Basil; grandchildren, R.J. Harris and 17 additional grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 12:00 P.M. at the funeral home. The interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
