Gilbert P. Rodriguez

Gilbert P. Rodriguez, 79, of San Antonio, passed away January 31, 2021. He was born in San Antonio on January 29, 1942 to Ezequiel and Josefina Rodriguez. He was married to Jovita S. Rodriguez for 58 years. Gilbert worked for Bexar County Parks for Swift Independent and Grayson’s Department Store. Gilbert was passionate for music and for family gatherings.

He was preceded in death by his father Ezequiel Rodriguez; mother Josefina Rodriguez; and brother Richard Rodriguez.

He is survived by his wife Jovita S. Rodriguez; daughter Suzanne R. Magallanez; son Cesar Rodriguez; sisters Joise Jimenez, Olga Garibay, and Diana Benavidez; bother Pete Rodriguez; as well as 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Family will be receiving guest for a visitation Sunday, February 28, 2021 at 5:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd, San Antonio, TX 78237, with a rosary staring at 7:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held Monday March 1, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home with burial to follow at San Fernando Cemetery III, 1735 Cupples Rd, San Antonio, TX 78226.
