George E. Lacey III of Pipe Creek joined his mother, Feliz Alicia Aguirre Lacey, daughter of Julia Josefa Herrera and Arnulfo Aguirre, who is a direct descendant of Francisco Ruiz, Signer of the Texas Declaration of Independence 1836; his father, George E Lacey II, brother Blass Granato, sisters Marie Granato, and Gloria Inclan in heaven peacefully surrounded by his family in the comfort of his own home on February 10, 2020 at the age of 63. He was born on December 20, 1957 in San Antonio, TX.
George enjoyed may things including hiking, camping, fishing, woodworking, working with his hands, and of course spending time with his family. he was a loving husband, wonderful father, brother, and uncle, terrific grandfather, and faithful friend to many. He is survived by his wife, Billie Lacey of almost 42 years, children Amber Kinsey and Amy Lacey of Bandera, Aarron and wife, Ouida Lacey of New Braunfels, Gabriel and wife, Gina Lacey of Lakehills, and Kolten Lacey of Pipe Creek, brother Jesse and wife, Sylvia Granato of San Antonio, sister Diane Granato Duncan of Brookfield,CT, brother Samual and wife, Esmeralda Granato of San Antonio, 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The service for George will be February 27, 2020 at 2:45 p.m. at Fort Sam Houston Cemetery, San Antonio, TX. A “Celebration of Life” will be held at the Lacey’s residence at 5:00 p.m. All is welcome to join. Donations and live plants may be made in lieu of flowers to Billie Lacey, 267 Scenic Loop, Pipe Creek, TX 78063.
