George H. Hernandez

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of George H. Hernandez, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. On February 14, 2025, George passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family. He left behind a legacy of love, forever etched in our hearts.

Born with a gentle spirit and a warm smile, George was a man of unwavering love, kindness, strength, humor and wisdom. He was a lifelong enthusiast of golf and music.

George was preceded in death by his parents, Mauricio Hernandez and Irma Hernandez; and brother-in-law, Ruben Arriola.

George was a devoted husband to his wife, Norma Hernandez; children, Jessica Hernandez (Marcos), Andrea Hernandez, and Gino Hernandez (Bibi). As a grandfather, George adored his grandchildren, Caleb Alexander Altamirano, Jacqueline Grace Gonzalez, and George Harrison Hernandez. In addition, he is survived by his sister-in-law, Pat Arriola; nephew, Joseph Arriola (Jaime Beth) their son, Cameron; and niece, Angelica Arriola.

George dedicated his life to creating a home filled with love and laughter alongside the love of his life, Norma Jean Hernandez. For 45 beautiful years, their love flourished like a storybook romance that has withstood the test of time. They shared dreams and countless memories with their children and grandchildren. With unwavering love and guidance, he celebrated his children’s achievements and their ambitions. His grandchildren were his greatest pride and joy. They created a beautiful family that he adored above all.

George will be remembered for his generous heart and his deep commitment to his family and friends. Though he is no longer with us, George’s spirit will continue to guide and inspire those who were fortunate enough to share in his remarkable life.

The family will receive guests from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Friday, February 21, 2025 at Porter Loring Mortuary, 1101 McCullough Ave. A Procession will leave Porter Loring Mortuary at 12:15 p.m. for a Graveside Service at Mission Burial Park South, 1700 SE Military Dr.
