GEORGE LOUIS HADDAD RAHWAN age 95, passed away on April 3, 2022, at his home in San Antonio, TX. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on May 5, 1926, to LOUIS HADDAD and ADLA RAHWAN. He was the best son, brother, friend, soldier, citizen, entrepreneur, husband, father, grandfather and human being this earth could ever have. He dedicated his whole life to his family and he will be dearly missed. He is survived by his wife ROSA, his 3 sons MICHAEL, GEORGE AND LUI and his 4 grandchildren JORGE, PAULINA, LUI and MICHELLE.
Son of immigrant parents, he lived his life in both the United States of America and Mexico. At the age of 18 he enlisted in the U.S. Army to participate and defend his country in WWII as a Corporal in the 7th Infantry Division at the Pacific Theater of Operations; where he fought in the invasion of the island of Okinawa and then went to be stationed in Korea for U.S. occupation once the war had ended. Serving his country from 1944 to 1946. He got the opportunity to travel the world to many different countries and experience all their cultures.
He enjoyed life with his family and friends and experienced on several business ventures where he was very joyful and successful. At the end for him it was all about living good and honestly respecting all that God has created for him, his family and his peers.
The Graveside Service will be at 11:00 am, Thursday, May 5, 2022 at the Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery (Shelter #1) with Military Honors.
On this day he would have been 96 years old.
