Geneva May Billman

Geneva (Neva) May Billman, age 95, answered His call and went to the Lord on 9 January 2023. She was born June 18, 1927 in Reno, Nevada where she later attended the University of Nevada earning a Teaching Degree. While there, she met her future husband, Ervin Billman. She then followed him as a devoted military spouse, moving many times in his military career. Throughout all her life she thoroughly enjoyed her passions of painting, puzzles, touring and reading. She also remained an active member of her church, working with the United Methodist Women’s and in teaching Sunday School classes. Neva was a member of the “Early Ford V-8” auto club helping to plan trips that the club went on. She continually talked about all the trips they took, meeting very special friends along the way. Later in life, even when she was afflicted with several physical ailments, she always maintained a positive and cheerful attitude. Neva was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Erv. Survivors include her daughter, Diana Poerner and her husband, Al; he son Jeffery Billman and his wife, Astrid; and 8 grandchildren. “GiGi” also had 3 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at Northern Hills United Methodist Church on Monday, January 30, 2023 at 12:00 pm.
