My deepest condolences to your family. Mr. Wade was a customer of mine that grew to be a friend. I always enjoyed talking with him. He would tell me stories of his kids and when he was getting the car ready for a road trip to visit. He was a very proud caring man that I had the upmost respect for. He will be deeply missed. I’m sorry I could not make the service.

I saw this today while at work and had to fight back the tears.  I'm sure the guy I was talking to saw my eyes well up and my mouth start to quiver.  I met Gary through Jeff and Kevin Wynne when we were in grade school.  Over the years we had a lot of laughs, we bowled, played football and basketball, drove to Atlantic City in Jeff's big ass station wagon, did a bunch of dumb things like ding-dong ditching and did our share of drinking while teasing him about his nub finger.  We had beers in Gary's car the night before he went into the military and Jeff and I went off to college.  Gary was awesome and was always a fun and positive friend to be around.  Even though we've been apart for a long time, Gary is the first of my real friends from my childhood to pass away and I can say this is messing me up.  So after I hit post, I'm gonna have a drink in his honor and try not to cry too much.

Jean and Family - so very, very sorry for your loss.  I met Gary when I was 17 years old; we have been friends a long time. He gave me my first big dog, Angel. Gary was a great man, even if he was a Redskins/Commanders fan. 😂  I didn’t do a great job of keeping in touch but he will be missed. 🙏🏼❤️ Thoughts and Prayers are with you and your family.

Gary was my old team leader and a mentor, but more importantly a great friend. I am deeply saddened and in complete  disbelief. Gary was such a kind person, always listening without judgment and giving advice. Despite us parting ways at our job, he would occasionally check up on me and stayed in touch, that’s just the kind of person he was. You will be truly missed friend. My heartfelt condolences to the family, I wish the family peace and comfort as they grieve.

I’ll never forget the day we found out Gary was my biological father. My life literally changed on December 3, 2020 when I met him, my sister, one of my brothers and his family, and my dad’s wife and her family in 2022. I miss him more than words can say. He welcomed me into his life with open arms and became another father figure to me.

Gary was one of those souls who you knew immediately was a good man. We worked together too short a time and never had the opportunity to become close friends, Why do I feel like I've lost a close friend?
