Garry W. Armstrong Jr., beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, December 16, 2012, at the age of 87. He was born in Ansonia, Connecticut, to parents Garry W. Sr. and Carrie Mae Armstrong, on November 11, 1925. Garry proudly served our country in the United States Navy during WWII and in the Korean War, and was a long-time member of the VFW and DAV. He will be remembered for the love and dedication he had for his family and friends and he will be deeply missed by all that knew him. Garry was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife of 55 years, Donna J. Armstrong; He is survived by his children, Robert Armstrong and wife Linda, Michael Train and wife Susan, Garry W. Armstrong III and wife Janey, Gregory Armstrong, and Kevan Armstrong; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers, 515 N. Main, on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 12:00 p.m., with Pastor Gene Bixler officiating.
