Franklin Wayne James

Frank was born in San Antonio, Texas. He was the son of Dorothy James. He spent his life serving the community as a San Antonio firefighter. Frank retired as a Lieutenant on March 1, 2004, after 28 years of faithful and dedicated service.

Frank loved being by the water, fishing, and spending time with his family. He will be remembered for his love of life and outgoing personality. He always had a smile on his face, a beer between his legs, and a cigarette hanging out of his mouth. He was able to make any mundane task as fun as can be.

He is survived by his son Kevin, his niece Bonnie and his nephew Sam. He was preceded in death by his youngest son Shawn, his sister Betty, and his mother Dorothy.

The memorial service will be held on January 12, 2021 from 5 PM - 9 PM at Roy Akers Funeral Home. The graveside service will be held at San Fernando Catholic Cemetery on January 13, 2021 at 2 PM.
