Preceded in death by parents Quincy Bert & Manie Scott; siblings Jake, Dale, Quincy, Caroline and son Mark Wooten Scott.
Survived by wife Helen Scott, sons Frank Scott Jr., Dale Scott, Quincy Scott (Katie) and daughter Deborah Garza (Omar). Grandchildren Kellie Buckingham, Jeffrey Garza, Anderson Scott, Julia Scott and great grand-daughters Jamie, Ryann & Dylan.
The Scott family moved to Texas in the 1930’s during the Great Depression.
Frank attended Brackenridge HS and was a member of the swim team that won the State championship four years in a row. An accomplished swimmer, Frank held the state record for 100 yard breast stroke ten years.
He was a Merchant Marine during WWII and loved re-telling his experiences on the Scheldt Estuary outside of Antwerp.
Like his father, Frank had an entrepreneurial spirit that led him in several businesses. The most successful Scott Chemical Company, known later as Q.B. Scott Company, was a local manufacturer of household cleaners and insecticides. Mr. Scott’s was a well-known brand sold in major retailers thru out the United States, Mexico & Puerto Rico.
Frank Scott, aka Mr. Scott, Pancho, Uncle Frank, Dad & Papaw, was well loved and will be missed by many. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the YMCA which was a huge support to Frank as a young boy.
