Frances R. Valdez

Frances R. Valdez, born on October 9, 1934 went to be with the Lord on March 26, 2020 at the age of 85. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tomas & Eulogia Reyes; husband, Raul R. Valdez; brothers, Juan and Jesse Reyes and sister, Celia Cortez.

She is survived by her daughters, Virginia Carrillo; Norma (Debbie) Kempel; Yvonne Gonzales; son, Roy (Mary Ann) Valdez; ten grandchildren; Sabrina (Ryan) Condon, Amanda Carrillo, Matthew (Gaby) Kempel, Jannelle, John, Jaelen and Japheth Gonzales, Jordan (Jackie) Castillo, Arazeli, and Ryeli Valdez, seven great-grandchildren; Westin, Wimberley and Whitley Condon, Alayla and Levi Castillo, Korbyn Amaya, and Jaxxon Rosales, sisters; Antonia Martinez and Lucy Vidal, numerous relatives as well as many friends.

She was married to her husband, Raul R. Valdez, for 25 wonderful years and graduated from Edgewood HS. Frances retired from EISD as a Cafeteria Food Administrator. While working there she attended Palo Alto College and continued her education with Texas School Food Service Association. Frances enjoyed cooking, gardening, being outdoors, smelling roses, socializing with family and friends, and was a true fan of the San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Cowboys. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren play sports and other school events. Frances had a great sense of humor. She was caring, loving, full of energy and a great memory for things that happened in the past. Her limited activities did not stop her from enjoying a full happy life.
