Frances Hood

Mrs. Frances S. Hood, 89 and affectionately known as “GiGi” by her great-grandchildren and family, passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2010. She was born in Frankfort, Kentucky and was employed by Eastman Kodak in Rochester New York until she retired in 1979 and relocated to San Antonio. She was a master level bridge player and also enjoyed working crossword puzzles. She was preceded in death by her husband John H Hood of San Antonio and her son George D Hood of Carlsbad, California. She is survived by her son and his wife, David and Barbara Hood of Lakehills, Texas; her daughter-in-law Linda Hood of Carlsbad, California; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at Sunset North Funeral Home located at 910 N Loop 1604 East.
