Floyd Lee Wright, Sr., age 83, born August 26, 1929, left his home of clay to go to his eternal dwelling on August 10, 2013. Floyd was born in Bandera, Texas and lived there until moving to San Antonio with his family in 1941. After graduating from Breckenridge High School, he served in the army in Korea. When discharged, he began his career at Remington Rand, which later became Business Products Center, and stayed until his retirement about 1998.
Floyd is survived by his wife of 59 years, Vicki; daughter, Maureen Tanury & her husband, James; sons, Randall, Floyd, and Alan Wright & his wife, Adele; three granddaughters; two great-grandsons; sister, Arena Murphy & husband, James and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home. Private graveside services will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the Cherokee Children’s Home, Hwy 16S, Cherokee, TX 76832.
