She was born to Colvern and Dr. Mary Henry in San Antonio, Texas. She graduated from Jefferson High School and attended UT Austin.
Florence was a devoted mom and wife along with being the farm manager of Buckner Arabians. She was an avid horse enthusiast, especially competitive trail and endurance riding. She completed many rides over the years throughout the country. She was the only one in her circle that completed the infamous 100 mile Tevis Cup on her beloved stallion, Robert. She had many friends, but especially a great group of ladies that named themselves the “Bandera Posse” that hung out together and went to the movies and lunch on Mondays.
She was predeceased by Jack Buckner (husband) and Mary Alice Henry (sister) and is survived by her son Bryan Buckner.
